JIFCO Redundant PLC (1500R) Upgrade for FSA, Stacker A & B Plants

Project Overview

An upgradation for SIEMENS PLC systems in FSA, Stacker A (Fixed & Mobile) and Stacker B (Fixed & mobile) has been performed.
The upgradation was done by replacing the old systems (S7-300 based) with the new S7-1500 Redundant CPUs, and downloading the upgraded programs to the new CPUs.
The upgradation also included replacing the old Interface Modules with the new one (IM 153-4) with adding Active busplane for the IO racks, in addition to that, new Ethernet switches were added (XF204).
As for the Stacker A & B mobile cabinets HMIs (Proface), the new configured project was downloaded to the HMIs and connection to the new CPUs was established and tested.
